International Valuation Standards Update
The IVSC sets International Valuation Standards (IVS) which promote professionalism, consistency, transparency, and confidence in valuations. The latest version of the IVS is effective on 31 January 2020.
The following Australian organisations are members of the IVSC and have adopted the IVS.
- Professional Organisation Members – Australian Property Institute (API), Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ)
- Associate Valuation Professional Organisations – Auctioneers and Valuers Organisation of Australia, Australian Institute of Business Brokers;
- Institutional Members – Australian Valuers Institute
To ensure the valuation you receive is of the highest standard and complies with the IVS, make sure the valuer you engage is a member of one of the above organisations. Individual valuers cannot hold membership to the IVSC.
